The Thinkware F790 Dash Camera is engineered to deliver dependable, crystal-clear recording and intelligent features whether you choose the front-only or full dual-channel setup. The front camera captures everything in Full HD 1080p at 30 frames per second, ensuring sharp, smooth footage of the road ahead. The dual-channel version adds a rear-facing camera, also recording in Full HD 1080p, to cover your vehicle’s backside and provide comprehensive visual protection.
With HDR and Thinkware’s Super Night Vision 3.0, the F790 excels in low-light conditions, maintaining clarity and reduced noise even in darker environments. Its integrated GPS and Wi-Fi allow you to log speed and location and to view or download footage using the Thinkware Dash Cam Link app directly from your phone.
The system supports Parking Mode recording, capturing motion or impact events even when the vehicle is stationary (requires hardwire or OBD connection). Footage is safeguarded by a supercapacitor design that protects your recordings in sudden power loss, extreme temperatures or voltage fluctuations. The F790 also features advanced driver alerts like Lane Departure Warning, Forward Collision Warning, and Front Vehicle Departure Warning to keep you aware while driving.
Each package includes a 32 GB microSD card, and we provide free nationwide professional installation so your dash cam is fitted, configured, and ready to go. Optionally, you can upgrade your system with the Thinkware iVolt Mini or iVolt Pro external battery pack, installed at the same time as your camera. This upgrade extends your parking surveillance capabilities, giving continuous recording even when your engine is off, without draining the car’s battery.
In both versions, the front camera records in Full HD 1080p (1920 × 1080) at 30fps, delivering clear, detailed footage of the road ahead. The front lens offers a 140° diagonal field of view, designed to cover most of the road while minimising distortion.
In the dual-channel (front + rear) setup, the rear camera also captures Full HD 1080p at 30fps, with a 160° diagonal viewing angle to catch broad surroundings behind the vehicle. This ensures that incidents occurring at the rear are recorded in the same sharp resolution as the front.
Both cameras use a 2.1 megapixel CMOS sensor, delivering solid performance in a variety of lighting conditions. The F790 supports microSD cards up to 128 GB (UHS-I standard), giving ample storage for extended recording before overwriting begins.
To enhance video quality, the F790 uses HDR (High Dynamic Range) processing and Dewarping Technology, which reduces the “fisheye” effect often caused by wide-angle lenses. The camera also features Super Night Vision 3.0 to boost brightness and clarity in low-light settings. A built-in 3-axis G-sensor triggers event recording (10 seconds before and after an impact), while motion detection activates the camera when movement is detected in Parking Mode.
